A festive closing concert performed by the festival musicians and the HearAndNow Festival Orchestra. Through a variety of styles and composers, we will highlight one of Ligeti’s most important musical elements and interests: rhythm.

From Pärt’s austere structure to Ligeti’s rhythmic complexity. Romanian folk music, African polyrhythms, and post-minimalist music by Kate Moore.
