Violist Hannah Strijbos has had a very diverse career both at home and abroad.

She began her violin studies with Coosje Wijzenbeek and studied viola with Marjolein Dispa, Nobuko Imai, and Jürgen Kussmaul in Amsterdam, and later with David Takeno at the Guildhall School in London. She completed all aspects of her studies with the highest honors. In addition to her formal studies, she took master classes with, among others, Lawrence Power, Yuri Bashmet, Pinchas Zukerman, Antoine Tamestit, Lars Anders Tomter, Gabor Takács, Ferenc Rados, and Pamela Frank.

Hannah is the principal violist of the Residentie Orkest in The Hague and is regularly invited to serve as guest principal with ensembles such as the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Amsterdam Sinfonietta.

As a chamber musician, she is a member of the Berlin-based Jacques Thibaud Trio, with which she performs throughout Europe and the United States. They regularly record CDs for the German label Audite. Their recordings of the complete Mozart string trios, Beethoven trios, and Martinů and Milhaud string trios have all been nominated for various international awards. As a trio, they have an annual concert series in Missouri (U.S.), which they combine each year with a tour elsewhere in the U.S. Hannah is a regular guest at chamber music festivals in Europe and North America, including the Verbier Festival, the International Musicians Seminar Prussia Cove, the Delft Chamber Music Festival, the Februari Festival, and the Schiermonnikoog Festival.

She has collaborated with, among others, Janine Jansen, Steven Isserlis, Anner Bijlsma, Antje Weithaas, Philippe Graffin, Gary Hoffman, Liza Ferschtman, and the Van Baerle Trio. Highlights from recent concert seasons included a tour of Bolivia featuring viola concertos by Telemann and J.C. Bach, a performance of the *Sinfonia Concertante* with the London Mozart Players in London, and the recording of all of Mozart’s and Beethoven’s string trios.

Hannah plays a Johannes Cuypers viola from The Hague, made in 1776, which was provided to her by the National Musical Instrument Fund.
