Violist Connie Pharoah is a sought-after soloist, leader, and chamber musician. Connie lives in Amsterdam and is a member of the Marigold Piano Quartet, which recently impressed audiences in the Netherlands with performances at the Concertgebouw, the Muziekgebouw, and several live appearances on Radio 4 (classical radio). She plays with various orchestras in Europe and the Netherlands, including all the major orchestras and chamber orchestras, as well as the 12 Ensemble and the O'Modernt Chamber Orchestra. She is also co-founder of the Seida Ensemble. In addition to her experience as a performing chamber musician, she also enjoys organizing chamber music concerts. Her artistic and conceptual approach has been strongly influenced by musicians she has worked with at festivals such as Yellow Barn, Mendelssohn on Mull, Ozawa Academy, IMS Prussia Cove Open Chamber Music, and the Zermatt Music Festival. Last year, she performed in the United Kingdom and Europe with world-renowned composer Max Richter. Recent highlights include solo and chamber music concerts at the Heidelberg Festival in Japan and a tour with the HearAndNow collective in Australia.
