Rainer Crosett

American cellist Rainer Crosett has performed as a soloist in the United States and Europe and has appeared at many renowned chamber music festivals. He received the 2018 Pierre Fournier Award in London and the Silver Medal at the 2017 Ima Hogg Competition, which resulted in a debut with the Houston Symphony. As a chamber musician, Rainer has appeared at festivals such as Music@Menlo, Yellow Barn, the Piatigorsky International Cello Festival, and Prussia Cove. He began his studies at the Harvard-New England Conservatory Joint Program, where he earned his M.M. at the New England Conservatory and his AB magna cum laude in philosophy at Harvard College. Rainer is now pursuing his post-graduate studies in Berlin at the UDK with Jens Peter Maintz.
