Ramon van Engelenhoven

Ramon van Engelenhoven (1995) began playing the piano at the age of six and studied at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where he completed his master's degree in 2019 with the highest possible grade. He studied with Frank Peters and took masterclasses with Alexander Gavrylyuk, Pierre-Laurent Aimard, Paul Badura-Skoda, and others. Ramon has won several prizes, including the International Steinway Piano Competition, the Prinses Christina Concours, and the Grand Finale of the Young Pianist Foundation Concours, where he was the first to receive the Grand Prix Youri Egorov.

He has performed in leading venues such as the Royal Concertgebouw, TivoliVredenburg, and the Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ, and has performed as a soloist with international orchestras. As a chamber musician, he regularly collaborates with musicians from the Concertgebouw Orchestra. In 2023, he made his debut at the Prinsengracht Concert. His album Korngold – A Portrait for Piano was nominated for an Edison Klassiek award in 2024 and received international acclaim.
