In June 2010, Sarah was hired as principal flutist with the Dutch National Ballet Orchestra (formerly Holland Symfonia), based at the Dutch National Opera & Ballet in Amsterdam, where she is currently furthering her career. After performing regularly as a guest in 2013, she became an official member of the contemporary music ensemble Collegium Novum Zürich (Switzerland). Sarah takes great pleasure in exploring both new music and forgotten works from the repertoire, and her career combines orchestral playing, chamber music, ensemble work, and solo performances.
Sarah has won numerous awards, including the *Prix d’Honneur* at the 12th European Music Competition in Picardy (2005). In 2009, she won the NYOS Staffa Award in Edinburgh following an outstanding performance that was praised in various Scottish newspapers (see attachment). In 2012, she won first prize at the 4th International Flute Competition of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow. In 2020, Sarah was a guest artist at the first Tampere Flute Fest in Finland; she was subsequently appointed competition coordinator for masterclasses on orchestra auditions for the second edition in 2021.
In 2023, Sarah released her debut album *Le Nouveau Salon* on the Et’Cetera Records label, featuring a repertoire for solo flute and chamber music arranged in a highly personal style. Sarah has appeared as a guest artist at many leading European festivals and with numerous orchestras, including the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra (Netherlands), Philharmonia Zürich, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo. She has performed major orchestral repertoire under the baton of renowned conductors such as Fabio Luisi, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Mark Elder, Toegan Soechijev, Neeme Järvi, Christoph von Dohnányi, and Daniele Gatti. She has also performed with leading soloists such as Boris Berezovsky, Alison Balsom, and Andreas Kaufman. Sarah has performed in Europe’s most prestigious concert halls: the KKL in Lucerne, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Tonhalle in Zurich, the Philharmonie and the Konzerthaus in Berlin, Westminster Cathedral in London, and the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome.
