Maria Cristina Gonzalez Perez

María Cristina González was born in Jaén (Andalusia), Spain, where she began her musical training at the age of ten.

She studied at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where she obtained her Master's degree in both classical music and early music. In addition to her studies, she has taken masterclasses with flutists such as Jacques Zoon, Felix Rengli, Harrie Starreveld, Davide Formisano, Marc Hantai, Kate Clarke, Leon Berendse, Javier Castiblanque, Magdalena Matínez, and Alvaro Octavio Díaz. While still a student in Amsterdam, Maria Cristina performed at the Concertgebouw, Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ, and the Beatrix Theater. In addition to classical music, she feels at home in the genres of folk and world music.

In recent years, Maria Cristina has collaborated with major orchestras and ensembles in the Netherlands and abroad, including the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Philharmonie Zuid-Nederland, Orkest van het Oosten, Het Nieuwe Ensemble, Nederland Bach Vereniging, Metropole Orchestra, and Ensemble Resonanz.
