Koenraad Spijker, born September 12, 1991 in Amsterdam, developed at an early age<\/p>\n
age a passion for music. From the age of six he began playing piano and a few years later<\/p>\n
followed the drums, his talent soon noticed. After two years of study with the Argentine jazz pianist<\/p>\n
Juan Pablo Dobal he entered the Utrechts Conservatorium, where under the wings of<\/p>\n
Hungarian pianist Kl\u00e1ra W\u00fcrtz earned his bachelor of classical piano in 2013 with a<\/p>\n
perfect score. In 2017, he completed his master's degree, also with a perfect score. During<\/p>\n
this period he immersed himself in jazz piano, composition and especially the music of Aleksandr<\/p>\n
Skrjabin, whose harmonies he thoroughly analyzed in his master's thesis. In 2019, he followed<\/p>\n
a postmaster's degree in Sofia, Bulgaria, where he further specialized in the work of<\/p>\n
Skrjabin and Schubert. In 2020, he participated in the international piano competition \u2018Victor<\/p>\n
Merzhanow,\u2019 where he won third prize and a special award for the best<\/p>\n
performance of Skrjabin's work.<\/p>\n
Koenraad is a versatile musician with broad interests ranging from jazz and improvisation<\/p>\n
to film music and electronic music. For many years he has been an enthusiastic participant in<\/p>\n
various improvisation, film and chamber music festivals, which has given him a solid place<\/p>\n
provided in the Dutch musical landscape. His work reflects a deep respect for<\/p>\n
the tradition of classical music, combined with an openness to new influences and<\/p>\n
collaborations.<\/p>\n
In 2019, he founded the Spijkerklassiek chamber music series in Amsterdam, through which he<\/p>\n
developed innovative programs and young musicians not only musically, but also<\/p>\n
organizational and business coaching. His diversity is also evident in his work with<\/p>\n
children's performances centered on classical music, as well as his contributions to<\/p>\n
contemporary film projects. Since 2023, he has been musical director at \u2018Domeconcerts,\u2019 a<\/p>\n
company that brings together classical music and modern film in spectacular<\/p>\n
performances in dome theaters throughout the Netherlands.<\/p>\n
In 2024, he co-founded \u2018Studio Engine Off\u2019 with theater producer Quintijn Relouw.\u2019<\/p>\n
Foundation on. This foundation combines classical music and theater with technology, such as<\/p>\n
virtual reality (VR). With location theater in heritage buildings and concert halls, they create<\/p>\n
immersive experiences that connect past and future. This<\/p>\n
multidisciplinary project aims to renew traditional art forms and<\/p>\n
