{"id":30398,"date":"2026-01-14T15:29:59","date_gmt":"2026-01-14T14:29:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hearandnow.nl\/?post_type=musici&#038;p=30398"},"modified":"2026-01-14T17:09:45","modified_gmt":"2026-01-14T16:09:45","slug":"noura-hodhodi","status":"publish","type":"musici","link":"https:\/\/hearandnow.nl\/en\/musici\/noura-hodhodi\/","title":{"rendered":"Noura Hodhodi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Noura Hodhodi (b. 2004, Tehran, Iran) is an Iranian composer and classical guitarist, a graduate of the Tehran School of Music.<\/p>\n<p>She is currently studying composition at the Amsterdam Conservatory of Music with Richard Ayres and Willem Jeths.<\/p>\n<p>Noura usually uses Iranian traditional music and Iranian melodies in her composition and combines it with Western music in contemporary ways and styles.<\/p>\n<p>In 2022, Noura won 1st prize at the YWCC (Young Women's Composition Competition, Illinois United States) in the 15-18 age category with her piece \u201cFahkteh\u201d (Common Cuckoo). When asked what she likes most about composing music, she said, \u201cMusic is my language, I write my feelings using notes. The main reason I love composing is because of creating.
