Laurens has won various prizes as a pianist and organist in competitions in The Hague, W\u00fcrzburg, Groningen, and Freiberg, among others, where he was named \u201cECHO Young Organist of the Year 2020.\u201d In September 2024, Globe Records will release his double CD debut as an organist: a recital on the Contius organ in Leuven and a program of Wagner transcriptions. Since 2012, Laurens has been principal organist at the Janskerk in Utrecht; in the 2022-2023 season, he was \u201cOrganist in Residence\u201d at the Contius organ in Leuven.
